I am thoroughly impressed and convinced by Magician Akash, who is son of Jadugar Anand, who performed excellently in all the risky items.

 

I got astonished when he performed FIRE ESCAPE at Chandrashekhar Nair Stadium; I got impressed when I observed him doing Blind fold Bike ride and truly speaking, I have become great fan of Akash, after observing him performing the most risky feat “Under Water Escape”. Through this article. I would like to praise the guts, efforts and sincere dedication of Mr. Akash, his father Mr. Anand and their team.

 

Jadugar Anand along with his son Akash and his troupe is touring Thiruvananthapuram these days. Their tour started on 21st Sept.

 

 

On 21st Sept : Akash performed Fire Escape show at Chandershekhar Nair Stadium Thiruvananthapuram. The show was scheduled at 4 PM. Stadium was largely crowded. A hay enclosure almost 15 feet high was built in the center of the stadium ground. Akash was tied up with 25 chains and 25 locks. It was impossible for him to move. These locks were checked by onlookers and some VIP guests. Soon he was lifted up by a crane and dropped in the hay enclosure. The hay enclosure was set on fire from all the sides. Fire spereaded quickly. We all were waiting for Akash to come out. Within 40 - 45 seconds he came out of that burning hay stack. The crew member rushed towards him to cover him with a blanket. He came out unhurt. It was an amazing show.

 

On 24th Sept. : Blindfolded motorbike ride was happened next which was also performed by Akash on the streets of Thiruvananthapuram. Before starting the ride he was blindfolded by a piece of cardboard, cotton and plaster of paris cut in the shape of an eye glass – held together with a band of black cloth wrapped over. Before starting, a hood was placed over Akash's face. Volunteers were riding along with blindfolded Akash. Everyone was amazed from the way Akash was taking correct turns and curves. He even adjusted speed and applied brakes to avoid potholes and collision with other vehicles. This ride was done to spread message to public that when blindfolded riders can navigate safely on busy roads, why should accidents take place during normal driving. This feat of his had combination of tricks, meditation and concentration.

 

On 26th Sept: Karthika Thirunal was the venue for the Inaugural show of Jadugar Anand. It was back to back magic show. Expectation and curiosity of people raised after the Akash's Fire escape and Blindfolded ride stunt show. Many VIP's attended the show like Vijaya Kumar(sports, youth, port, etc.), Forest and housing minister Binoy Visham, two ADGP's, Trivandrum IG, Trivandrum Commissioner, Director of Health Services and lot of other guys. A large number of media personnel were also present there to cover the show. There were many new items which added thrill and excitement to the show. One of the finest of these was the television panel from which people emerge and get into, slow motion vanishing of Statue of Liberty, Floating of one of the ADGP's daughter in the air, Elephant appearance on an empty stage, cutting of an assistant magically transformation of appreciation letter from Forest Minister to Mr. Anand into his resignation letter and also donating his entire property to Magician Anand. All the kids present there enjoyed the most as the show transported them to another world.

 

On 1 Oct : It was the biggest event of the tour THE UNDERWATER ESCAPE. It was a life risking stunt. Seven out of ten attempts fail in this Escape. It was his second attempt. First was at Hyderabad was first attempt after 40 years (last time his father attempted successfully) where he created a world record for exiting in just 15 seconds. It was held at Vizhinjam Harbour. Kovalam MLA George Mercier, Southern Range IG Arun Kumar Sinha, Police Commissioner Revatha Chandershekhar, ICGS Vizhinjam CO PK Mishra, Vizhinjam Panchayat President Latha Sugathan etc were among VIP guests. Akash was handcuffed by an MLA. He double checked the locks. Akash then sat in bag which was tied and sealed by commissioner. This bag carrying Akash was dropped in a wooden box. The box was then lowered down into water by a crane. The crane boarded a large boat so that box is dropped in a deeper side of sea. Box was submerged into the sea. Many motorboats were roaming in the sea filled with media person so that they can have best snaps of the Akash as he surfaced out of the water. Everybody present there was eagerly waiting for Akash to come out specially Magician Anand as he father. As few minutes passed we saw Akash swimming across the sea towards a boat. Boat brought him to the jetty. As he was progressing towards jetty he gave quick interviews to journalists on the boat. The box was also brought from the water. It was in one piece and when opened all the locks and chains were as it is. Akash was the only one thing that was missing from the box. It was a mesmerizing show that I will remember all my life.

 

Currently there magic shows are going on at Karthika Thirunal hall. It is worth watching their magic shows. MAGIC CONTINUES!

 

I hope, I would get one more opportunity to see them performing.

 

 

                 I arrange my schedules to have time to watch magic shows of all big Magicians. Mr. Anand's son Akash’s magic shows are being showcased in Thiruvananthpuram these days.

On 1st Oct the biggest event was performed at Vizhinjam Harbour, “The Under Water Escape” was performed by Akash. Harbour was full of people. I saw there many VIP person of Vizhinjam, like Kovalam MLA George Mercier, Southern Range IG Arun Kumar Sinha, Police Commissioner Revatha Chandrasekhar, ICGS Vizhinjam CO PK Mishra, Vizhinjam Panchayat President Latha Sugathan and etc.

 

The harbour is 20km from the city and the crowd of the people had come all the way to see Akash. He  was handcuffed by the MLA and he doubled checked it to ensure it is really strong and well-locked by chains and locks. The people who had stood in the hot for hours and had still remained very patient.  Akash reached in front of crowd and tired to wave at them with all the chains.

 

Akash was taken back to the bag and sat in the bag then, the Commissioner tied and sealed the bag. The bag, with Akash inside , was carried over to the box and dropped inside it. The box was locked, chained and tied with chains and ropes. It was then attached to a crane aboard a large boat and carried about 100 meters in the sea, where the depth was approx. 150 feet. The crane was lowered and the box was submerged in the Indian Ocean waters. The silence during these few minutes was very loud!! Just during those moments, a number of motorboats rented out for media people started racing all over the harbour.

 

It was a beautiful scene, kind of like a whole series of Water Sports suddenly starting all over the place. Cameras were trying to get close to where the box was submerged, so that they could get an exclusive bite of Akash surfacing out of the box and the waters.

 

A large boat-free spot and Akash surfaced 15 feet away from the box. An inflated motorized rubber boat came around Akash to pick him out of the waters. Akash swam to it and went aboard.

 

The boat took him around near the spectators where we can see him properly People wanted to Akash on the jetty and media wanted to interview him on the boats themselves

The box was brought over too, and opened. All the chains and locks and handcuffs were found intact and locked as before. The bag was found tied up as before and the box was in one piece too.

 

And AKASH was infront of Us….

It's almost end of the tour of the Jadugar Anand and his troupe in Thiruvananthapuram Kerala.It lasted for more than 15 days. It started with a press confrence. Fire Escape show was held on 21st Sept.He exited a burning hay stack in just 45 second(his body was chained and locked). On 24th we went to watch his blindfolded ride. His ride was for a social cause for safe driving. He mananged to drive a bike blindfolded without any collisions and hassels.Then we watched Magician Anand's inaugural show on 26th Sept. He performed all of his famous magic tricks. Everybody was so thirlled after watching all of his magic tricks. After watching all these amazing shows we all were keenly waiting for Akash's Under Water Escape on 1st Oct.Akash was locked, chained and handcuffed. Put in sack, tied and then was locked in box. Box was lowered in water. Inside that box Akash freed himself from all locks and chains, came out of sack and box. All this was done in just few seconds approx 15 seconds. When box was brought it had all the things which were previously there except Akash. Everybody was stunned. Now that's what we call MAGIC. 

Anand and Akash what a magician duo these father and son are. Jadugar Anand has already set so many world records that no ever tried to break. And now that challenge has been taken up by his own son Akash. Many of them has been already broken by Akash. The Fire Escape, Blindfolded bike ride, and Underwater Escape are the few one of them. Now days both of them are touring Thiruvananthpuram (previously known as Trivandrum) Kerala. Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills.  It is one the state with maximum numbers of magicians.Kerala was the first state to include Magic in the Fine Arts category. Kerala is magic lover state. How much Magician Anand is famous in Kerala was evident by the huge number of spectators who attended each and every show of their tour. Every show was packed. Tour started on 21 st Sept. with the performance of Akash. He performed his Fire Escape show. Akash all chained and locked was dropped into a burning hay enclosure with the help of a crane. Akash escaped from that burning hay stack within few seconds.Second show was scheduled on 24th Sept which was again performed by Akash. This time he performed Blindfolded bike ride. This bindfolded ride was done to stress the need for safe driving. It was amazing to watch him make the correct turns and curves. The blind folded Akash even adjusted speeds and applied brakes to avoid potholes and collision with other vehicles. Then followed their Inaugural show on 26th Sept. Stunt shows performed by Akash before the inaugural show raised the expectations and curiosity of the people. That's why Inaugural show was a packed one. Show had all the famous tricks for which Jadugar Anand is known. On 1st Oct Akash performed the most awaited stunt of the tour 'The Underwater Escape' Show. His last performance of this stunt was the first performance done anywhere in the last 40 years. He also holds world record for this stunt for escaping in just 15 seconds. He was handcuffed, chained and locked. Akash sat in a sack which was tied and sealed. Sack was than dropped into a box which was than locked and all tied up with ropes and chains. Box was dropped into deep sea (approx 150 feet). In few seconds we saw Akash swimming across the sea. He boarded a boat and landed on jetty. Everyone wanted a glimpse of Akash. Media was behind him for interviews.The box was also brought. Beside Akash everything was found as it was before. Even box was in one piece. The Happiest man around was Akash's father Mr.Anand whom Akash likes to call 'The Boss'. He certainly seems to be the Akash's courage and muse. Jadugar Anand must be feeling proud on the achievements of his son. India is looking forward that one day Akash will set record for the Great Guillotine Escape and the Great Running train Escape also centainly with the guidance of his father.

Being a media personnel I always try to catch the exciting going around my city. Since Jaduagar Anand was performing in my city Thiruvananthpuram with his son Akash I was covering them for my newspaper. Their tour started with a press confrence. On 21st Sept. Akash performed Fire Escape, On 24th Sept. again Akash performed Blindfolde bike ride, on 26th Sept Jadugar Anand showcased their Inaugural show. Then came their biggest event the Underwater Escape show. Akash was handcuffed by an MLA who was one of the VIP guests. Akash was locked in chains and locks. A bag was brought.Akash sat in the bag. An another guest Commissioner tied and sealed the bag. Bag was dropped into a box. The box was then lowered down into water by a crane. The crane boarded a large boat so that box is dropped in a deeper side of sea. I was on motor boat with my cameras ready to take the best snaps of Akash as soon as he surfaced out of the box and the waters. And boom he was out and was swimming towards a boat which was waiting for him. I started clicking as much as photographes so that later I can select the best one. Akash was moving ahead towards jetty but we all(jouranlists) wanted to have  his interview first. He did not disappointed us and gave us a quick interviews on the boat. The box  was another center of attraction  after Akash as when it was brought it was in one piece and when opened all the locks and chains were as it is. Akash was the only one thing that was missing from the box. It was a well organised event that made everybody's day memorable.     

Someone who embodies the spiritual, who is full of love and all that colourful loveliness of being live. Magician Anand and his team's magic shows are one of them. Currently their shows are going on n Thiruvananthpuram(Trivandrum). Jadugar Anand's son Akash performed his famous stunts as part of he thier tour. On 21st sept. he performed his Fire Escape show, on 24th sept. he performed his
blindfolded ride stunt and then followed their inaugural magic show on 26th sept. All the shows were abulous and crowded. This shows how popular they are. Today on 1st Oct Akash performed the most waited stunt of the tour 'The Underwater Escape' Show. His last performance of this stunt was the first performance done anywhere in the last 40 years. He also holds world record for this stunt for escaping in just 15 seconds. He was handcuffed, chained and locked from head to toe. He was then put in a sack and locked in a box. This box was lowered in the water. Within 15-20 seconds he came out of that locked box free from all locks, chains and handcuffs. He was applauded by all present there. He deserve all the praise he is receiving.
